TRAINING QUESTIONS: Because life with an Aussie or BC is always
interesting.......and often unpredictable.... There are no wrong answers to
these questions-just more info for us
1)How would you handle discovering a pile of poop, ripped up garbage all over the
floor and your couch gutted, creating a snowstorm of fluff in your house-if you
were outside BBQing with the family and had left your new rescue or twelve week
old puppy loose indoors for over an hour? When you walk into the house,
the puppy is now lying on their bed, chewing a bone.
What type of correction would you use with this dog/puppy
and why?
2)Picture you are walking across a room, or your young
child is running around and suddenly needle puppy teeth are impaling your ankle
and grabbing at pant legs.
How would you handle this situation?
3)You've gone to Puppy kindergarten and socialized your
puppy well, but they seem to have a character change as they are
growing up. He/she starts to seem more aware and sort of worried about certain environmental
changes like big garbage bags, other dogs, overhead planes, etc on the street or certain people
or children coming into the house or towards them.
Sometimes they growl or bark and back away. Sometimes they advance/lunge
towards what is worrying them. How would you handle that and why do
you think they are behaving that way?
I hereby certify that the above information is correct to
the best of my knowledge.
